Ocean Maya Royale Adults Only - All Inclusive

The resort was very nice. Good sized rooms, very private, nice balcony with a view of the ocean. Resort was a good size - not too big, not too small. Several options for dining - the Italian restaurant was the best and the Japanese was also good. The food overall was average - pretty much what I expect from an all-inclusive at this price point. Service was good, drinks were good. Both the beach and the pools were very nice. Not the best beach access as they have a concrete barrier installed but you just have to go to the sides to get in the water. Wonderful being adults only. They also had pretty good entertainment at night - better than many other resorts I've been to.

The staff were amazing and very friendly. The grounds were beautiful and manicured. The pools were beautiful and the bartenders kept the drinks coming. I would definitely go back to this all-inclusive resort.

Food options and quality were surprisingly good. All restaurants offered reasonable vegetarian options. Coffee shop was very nice. Entertainment was very enjoyable - the Latin Music night and Fire show were particular good. Caring staff - special shout out to Rafael (at the Hacienda), Julio (Entertainment team), Miguel (Concierge) and Luis (guest services). Loved walking to the cenote.

Our stay at Ocean Maya Royale was amazing, for sure we will return one day. We came here as a couple celebrating both our birthdays and were not disappointed. • Check-in was fast and got relevant information, a bit many forms to complete and sign but other than that ok. They did not try to sell us any upgrades which was good because we realized its not worth it anyway • We got a room in building 8 which was very conveniently located close to the beach and pool as well. The room was nice and clean. The only thing which was super annoying is that is a room connecting with another room which made it horrible when you got super noisy neighbors. It’s just one wood door that separates the rooms which makes you hear EVERYTHING! One night the other room was having a party and we complained about this yet they never came to end it. We ended up awake till morning hours. Maybe the hotel should give this kind of rooms only to people traveling in groups. • Another issue which we didn’t like was that housekeeping left us only 1 towel every day. So each night when we wanted to shower first we had to call reception and wait 20-30 minutes for them to bring towels so we could shower. Super annoying! Also we had the A/C set on 26 degrees C, yet every time we came from the beach we had to enter a freezing cold room of only 18C. • Food was good, we liked that for dinner you had a choice of multiple restaurants and without the hassle of booking in advance. Other than that dinner was usually good in the buffet as well. Lunch could be done by the restaurant by the pool with good mexican food choices or you could order room service which was included in the all inclusive package. Breakfast could maybe have some more choices. The only thing really disappointing about food were the desserts. I tried so many different cakes and every time ended up disappointed as they all tasted like they were multiple days old.

Everything was great, the room was big and the bed very comfortable, the food was excellent, at the buffet and at the restaurants. The hotel is gorgeous, very well maintained, with a nice beach where you can walk a little. It was also great to have a quiet pool and a busy pool, this way you can choose what suits you better.
